Giuseppe Aliberti, graduated in Advertising Communication and Marketing, has been in IMA Abrasivi since 2018.
As soon as he left university, he started working in a DIY store and then, at a later stage, joined IMA Abrasivi, where he now works full time.
“Since then, I have continued to grow and deepen my knowledge. My commitment to training has allowed me to understand even more about topics that were unknown to me such as abrasives, binders, diamonds and lamellars. My journey in the company has been a real learning process on the job. At the beginning, I had the opportunity to work alongside the entire company staff, learning a little from each of them. Each one offered me support and valuable advice, helping me take my first steps in the company. In the early years, I worked mainly with the warehouse manager, acquiring fundamental skills to understand the operational dynamics. Over time, thanks also to the constant support of my father, Renato Aliberti, I was able to deepen my knowledge of the company and gain the experience necessary to fill the role that I carry out today with commitment and passion.”
These are the first steps that have led him, today, to play a fundamental role among the IMA Abrasivi administrators. Alongside Giuseppe, throughout the years and his corporate life, there has always been a particular figure, who has motivated him and encouraged him to always do better.
“Without a doubt, the most important reference figure in the company is my father, Renato Aliberti, who guided and supported me in a fundamental way, especially in this delicate moment of generational change. However, I cannot forget my colleagues, who played an equally significant role: they were always available to share their knowledge, patiently answering my questions. Furthermore, they encouraged and supported me in the most intense moments of work, demonstrating precious collaboration and a great team spirit.
Today I deal with marketing and communications; I manage promotional strategies and corporate image. I also hold the role of purchasing manager, taking care of the selection and management of suppliers to guarantee efficiency and quality.”
What are your professional goals?
“My professional goals are clear and guide my every action. First of all, I want to never disappoint the trust of my partners, maintaining a constant commitment to excellence. As a purchasing manager, my focus is on identifying new markets from which to source raw materials, trying to obtain the best quality-price ratio. At the same time, I work to refine and improve corporate communication, actively collaborating with the agency that supports us and developing our presence on social media to strengthen our brand. Another fundamental objective is to expand our commercial horizons, finding new foreign markets in which to make our products known and appreciated globally.”
Your personal vision of IMA Abrasivi.
“My personal vision of the IMA is to a company with extraordinary potential, capable of continuing to grow and innovate over time. It is a company known and appreciated all over the world, and this fills me with pride. One of the aspects that I admire most is the attention it dedicates to its workers, valuing their commitment and their contribution. I am sure that IMA will be able to face every challenge and reach important goals, up to successfully celebrating the prestigious goal of 100 years of history.”
But Giuseppe is not only the graduate, the communications and purchasing manager, Aliberti's son, and today one of the administrators. Behind all the titles and roles, there is a person with a kind soul, certainly nourished by culture, education and deep respect for shared values. Perhaps, to understand even better who Giuseppe Aliberti is, it is good to dwell on these last words of his. When asked "tell us an anecdote, a moment that you like to remember related to your life in the company" he answered like this:
“There is a moment of the day that for me is always special: when I pass by the factory, where the abrasive discs are produced. Being among the workers is a unique experience, because they transmit an energy made of commitment, dedication and pride in their work. Even in the most difficult moments, they manage to find a way to make you smile with a joke or a friendly gesture, reminding me every day the value of their contribution.
I am proud to be part of IMA Abrasivi, a Made in Italy company, strong, innovative and representative of my city.“
